Painted the gold black on the lariat rims

Me and a friend took 2 of my stock wheels and painted the gold inserts gloss black.. 1st we taped off the whole rim n tire besides the inserts and then we lightly sanded and sprayed them with gloss black spray paint.. Came out very clean and good for a half *** set of wheels, will be puting the 2 new painted wheels n tires on the rear tomorrow and do a burnout video since im going to put different tires on these stocks (have 2 sets of stock 18 n of corse my 24's) will post pics n video in the near future

I think you should have done the opposite. Paint the front and keep the gold. Too late.

Thanks, I should have the other 2 rims done today and put on the truck hopfully tomorrow. I was thinking of painting my other stock set all black, heres a pic of the rim taped off while in progress of painting the wheels

What you think? all gloss black or flat black on the other set (only paid 300 for brand new take offs) so might as well paint them cause I hate gold on a all black n chrome truck

I like them. Would definitely look good on a black or DSG truck.

Thanks, no clear not yet... I was amazed how glossy they came out with just spraying them. I'm planing on clearing and wet sanding the whole wheel tomorrow.. I was kinda just testing to see how they would come n i wish i woulda put alittle more time into sanding n preping, came out real good for doing in the open of my warehouse with no fan... Just one more test and thats driving n getting them hot n dusty, ill keep u posted.

I've always wondered what It would look like to do that to the harley 22's.... but there is no way i have enough guts to even think about getting it done.

It would look like the 07 harley and 08 limited wheels but better because you did it yourself and you can choose whatever color you would like.. Its all about prep and being light and even with the spray can n you should have no worries.. Wheels are still not fully cured so just for giggles ima place the 2 wheels by the dirty truck and take a picture, post later..
