Looking for the elusive reverse wire
Looking for the elusive reverse wire
does any have a pic of this one... found the black and pink but when i put it in reverse i get nothing on my meter. from what i have read i can tap into a green and yellow wire. but i think a saw two of them diff guage. according to this thread..... https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...t=reverse+wire i can find it on the drivers side.
There is also a reverse wire on the passenger side under the kick panel by the fuse box. I dont remember exactly what color it is, but I have my aux reverse light relay tied into it with a rectifier diode.
If you need a pic, PM me and I'll snap you one in the daylight.

Ok. Sorry for the delay, but here is how I did mine. I picked up the black with pink wire directly above the fuse box on the passenger side behind the kick panel. I tapped with one of those little tap things you can buy. Then I wired in a diode inbetween to keep current from flowing back into the factory system. I taped into an unused port on the fuse box and fused it and sent it through the power relay. I ran down the cab and out the little rubber port in the back. Then I fished the wire through the frame and out by the trailer hitch. Then you add your lights/siren what ever you want right there. I also have the relay to where it can be energized by a dash mounted switch so that I can kick the lights on if I am hooking a trailer.
