I'm in the mood to trade. (UPDATE: It'd traded... for an '08 Expy... post below with more.)



Anyone else notice that the deals right now are great? And it seems like the base prices (in my area anyway) are much lower for the '08's?



Is this because of the 2009's announcement?



Anyway... good thing is, I can put all my aftermarket pieces back on the '08 I get... maybe... We may look at an Expedition since we have the '99 SuperCab.



So, I may have a few items up for grabs, best offer style... I'll update when I know for sure.

 

With gas at $3.00 per gallon and headed higher, it is definitely a good time to be negotiating price on a full-size pick-up! However, it is also a lousy time to be selling one, so expect to get something less than an ideal offer for your current truck.

I actually wish I was in the market for a replacement vehicle for either my daily driver Ranger or the wife's Escape right now since it's such a buyer's market, but both vehicles are running so well that I can't justify getting rid of either one of them right now.

How big are the rebates now?

 

I've seen rebates totaling about 7 grand lately... plus 0.0% for 36,48 or 60 months! Even 1.9% for 72 if you want to pay that low and that looooong...

I could stand to knock off a couple hundo from my payment anyhow... but I'll probably stay with 60 months or less.

 

I actually did something similiar last month. Took a lot of **** off and went around thinking I was going to sell it. There were some good deals out there but the trade-in value or even resale value was terrible so I decided to just keep it. Now everything is back on. lol

 

Anyone know what trade in is bringing in on these trucks right now? '04 lariat 4x4 supercrew for example...

Holy hell the value on my truck is LOW... Down a few Gs in the last year... $19,115 on kbb.. WOW, depressing.

 

If it wasn't for the perfect weather, the beautiful hunnies, lax laws on medicine I take , and my business I would be your neighbor tomorrow ! These yuppies around here drive me nuts!

Oh well, looks like I am stuck until I retire !

 

It's the brand of window tint... Formula One is a metallicized film that looks lighter but blocks more UV rays than traditional, say, 3M film...

It also has a lifetime warranty on the film.

Anywho... Anyone need an undercover for a 5'5" 04-'08? Or some Supercrew in-channel vent shades? Or even a class III trailer hitch? Or a custom sub box w/tan carpet on it?

i wanted to trade my 07 xlt screw in with 7200 miles and they wanted to give me 25grand trade in. my buddy traded in his 04 xlt with 70k on it, got 18grand. so i'd say 19'ish stock. a majority of the dealers up here dont really go by blue book anyway.

We got a Dark Blue Pearl Metallic 2008 Expedition XLT...

btw- our trade was right at 16,500... but I had removed all the after market stuff, like the hitch, undercover, etc. So in my area, we actually got about 1500 over trade value - I guess there is a glut of these trucks in Texas. I had that puppy clean as a whistle too.
