Ordering General Maintenance Parts

Just wondering where you people order your general maintenance parts from. Do you do it online or at a "brick and mortar" store? Stuff like oil filter, air filter, etc.

I had to get a new air filter for my better half to put in her 2006 Explorer (4.6L). They didn't (and never have) have it at Meijer and I didn't want to go running ALL OVER town for a filter. I ended up calling my local Ford dealer and the blasted thing was $25. I thought it was pretty steep but it is only once in a great while that I have to buy one so I just paid for it and called it good. For the future though just wanted some of your thoughts.

Thanks.

Whatever is close at the time. Usually I just go to the local parts store and get the WIX brand filters and Valvoline oil. The Autozone and Miejer down here carry Motorcraft so I'll pick that up every now and then.

I want to add a question to this thread:

Where can you get "gold' engine coolant in order to top off the coolant reservoir? Besides buying the Motorcraft stuff from the dealer. Does Peak or Prestone make the gold stuff too?

I usually go to Wal*Mart and buy a case or two of Motorcraft 5w20... along with about 5 Motorcraft filters... saves me the trips.

Air and fuel filters from either O'Reily or Autozone, they both carry Motocraft. Oil and oil filters from Wal-Mart, they sell 5w-20 in the 5 quart jugs.
