Both kits i got from Ebay seller HID4U, both kits are made by Xentec, and both kits are 6000k color temp.
Thanks for the info!! Were both kits plug and play? How long have you had them, any problems with them?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just wanted to find good quality kit that others have had good luck with before I make the purchase.

I've had the heads in for 3+ months and the fogs in for 5 days.

I did have a problem with the heads, i got mud into one of the ballasts and it stopped working. They sent me a replacement free for warranty. Make sure when you mount the ballasts to tape them up with electrical tape over the openings real good so water and mud cant get in. otherwise, no issues.

Also, when you order and send your payment, include in your message that it is going into a 2004+ F150, that way they will send the correct harness pin, making it true plug & play. VERY simple to install.

HID=High Intensity Discharge...its a technology used in headlights that uses heated gas instead of a conventional bulb filament...HIDs produce 2-3 times as much light as regular halogen bulbs. People use them to see the roads better for better safety. Many car models are providing HIDs from the factory.

They are well worth it. My mom just got an 09 nissan murano loaded to the brim, nav and all. It came with the Bixenon HID's. They are awsome. You can even adjust them from in the car. Just with a switch of a swith you can move them up or down depending on the load of the car. It is awsome. I will be getting some for my truck as soon as i get it tuned.

For someone considering a plug and play HID kit please keep in mind that while you will have a better view of the road it will come at the cost of blinding other drivers. Cars that do not come with HID headlights (equipped with halogen headlights like the F-150) do not utilize the same reflector/projector that are necessary for HID lighting. Please register and do some reading on Hidplanet.com/forums if you are considering an HID kit.

I have heard of this before, and it is a very good point. But for where I live I am almost more likely to see more aminals on the road than cars, and deer get very expensive when you hit them. So the more light, the better. But if I lived in the city, I personally would just stick with the standard halogens.

I've driven over 2000 miles on just the interstate in the dark since i got my HIDs and to this day still havent ONCE been flashed by oncoming traffic. My truck is stock, with the stock rake still, and my heads are aimed down slightly. Not blinding at all.
