question about the flowthru swap

I just got my brackets in from Tasca, and they didn't come with any hardware, i.e. bolts......do you just use the bolts that held the middle jump seat in place???

That's what i did... The front bracket needs to be moved forward though, it's like another 5" closer to the dash than where the seat was bolted down.. Rear is in the same location...

Are there holes where you need to move it or do I have to drill into the floor???

HAHAHA...

Yes the holes are there.. They are under the carpet and covered with some putty stuff... Peel the putty up, cover your old holes, cut the carpet and bolt down the new bracket up front. The rear one uses the existing holes and bolts..

Ok I did what you said, cut the carpet, looked for the holes that are closer to the dash, found some that were covered by that putty stuff....but they are too small and do not have threads in them!!!! What do I do??? My truck is a 2004 XLT Screw 2x4 ...it should still have those holes, shouldn't it??? Oh man, I'm stressing now cause my carpet is all hacked up

Ok it's cool...

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy some bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts that are long enough to go through the bracket, floor and come out under the truck.

Take a Awl or clothes hanger and push it through the hole and out the bottom side of the truck. That way you'll see where they come out. Once you have it bolted down then you begin the install... After i bolted mine down i threw some clear silicone around the end of the bolts just to seal up the hole... And put the putty over the old holes

Did you lift the carpet first and feel under it with your hands to find the putty'd over holes?? Show me a pic so i can see where your at...

If you need any more help email me since you can't PM... Anthony_Juliano7@yahoo.com

I walk you through the process...

Ok here is where I'm at, I removed the putty from the 2 holes where the arrows are pointing, and that is what I found, no threads and the holes are a little smaller. I looked under the truck but I can't see the new holes because they are covered by a heat shield.
