4x4 Still Doesnt Work

Well last week after I brought my truck to the dealer they told me my 4x4 solenoid was out. So they charged me $100 to look at it and $28 for the part. This afternoon I installed the solenoid. I go to the nearest hill and try 4x4 well it still isnt working. I have the light on the dash and I can hear the transfer case clunk but still no 4x4. I am pissed now ive spent so far $128 and my 4x4 doesnt work. Anybody now of anything else that could be wrong.

Don't you have 14 days to return a vehicle after you've bought it? Don't you have warranty?

What you just said has nothing to do with the OP's condition, but neither does what I'm saying.

Is you front driveshaft turning? It might be possible that your transfer case isn't engaging the front driveshaft, not likely but possible. Also you said that you are getting a clunk when you put it in 4WD? Mine doesn't make any noise at all.

Don't forget, the front diff is open, so if one IWE is out the power will be transferred to that "wheel" because it has the least resistance, therefore no power in the front end. . .
