Fog Lights Quit Working

Anyone have any ideas why my fogs would quit together? I checked the fuse in the passenger side kick panel as well as the relay under the hood. Did I miss anything? I was wondering if one bulb burns out will both not illuminate...hmmm.

'06 F-150, 5.4L.

Ideas???

Are your high beams off. Fog lights only work with low beams.

Yep. I even tried to cycle the high beams on-off-on-off-on-off in case the relay was stuck. No luck. I'm stumped.

As odd as it seems, I'd check the bulbs. I've had both bulbs go on me at one time.

I'd check the bulbs as well. I'm not sure if the fogs have a separate fuse? Check the manual to see.

I know you said you checked the relay under the hood. There is a fog light relay in the passenger side kick panel in the fuse panel as well. Let us know how you make out...

I just had a bulb changed on mine the other day, the guys at the dealership said they have been seeing alot of them come in with the sockets corrored. If you live in an area where they use alot of salt and sand on the roads that might be your problem.
I know when I was my truck it is always full of sand and stuff even in the summer.

Get a multi-meter and see if you've got a ground and if you're getting power to the bulb. It might take a little while but you can chase it back to the source.

It was the darndest thing...BOTH bulbs were out. As near as I can tell they went at almost the same time. I drive with them on at night and would definately be able to tell if one was out before the other.

Picked up two from the dealer (jeez, they don't give these things away) and installed 'em. All is good.

both of mine went out at the same time also, when I took out the old bulbs I noticed that there was some corrosion on the harnesses.put a little dielectric grease in there and new bulbs and all is good now.
