Leveling Kit Must Have Done It!!!!
I don't see a tear in your boot. It just looks like the boot is slightly folded over.
But I gotta agree, the Leveling Kit DID NOT CAUSE THAT. How could it? There are no moving parts that could come in contact with the boot and cause any damage. Your most likely bet is just a case of faulty manufacture or road debris.
I use my 4x4 at least 1 time per week for roughly 1-2 miles. The 2.5" has been installed for almost a year with 0 issues.
The leveling kit did not do that. That's like saying a woman who straightens her eyelashes can expect your eyelid to invert itself...just because she straightens them
I call B.S. there are several aftermarket lift kits that cause similar angles on the halfshafts...even with proper crossmember relocations.

My truck is way out of warranty but i use 4x4 way too often to even toy with a leveling kit and nasty angles.

The only thing I am aware of with a leveling kit are ball joint problems. We can play the blame-game all you want, but that is not caused by the leveling kit. That CV joint is capable of operating under full turn of the steering wheel in 4WD which is alot more of an angle (about 45 deg) than that spacer puts on the joint. Everyone talks about these CV angles...bunch of crap. There is no more stress on the CV than stock config.

How many miles has the A.S. been on? Did you do the installation yourself? When you were putting the coilover back in after putting on the spacer did you disconnect the upper ball joint from the spindle?

you pay to play, but that ain't a problem caused by a leveling kit
Obviously if he took off the levelling kit he'd need an alignment before he took it in.
Dealerships can anything caused anything, regardless of the Magnussen Moss warranty act. That's how they work.
All I can say is good luck.

I ahve AS 2-1/2" and have had 3 boots tear all on the pass side .
Dealer asked me to remove the level kit as it makes for bad angles.
But they can't tell me why it only happens on the same side .
I thought if it was the level kit it shouldn't be just 1 side my level is coming off as soon as I can afford a 4" lift kit

I've never had any problems from my leveling kit and i've done some pretty rough stuff with my truck. The only problem i've ever had out of my front end was when I warped a front drive shaft and I have no idea in hell how that happened. wait, I also had a bent A-arm that was replaced under warranty after I hit a washout hole. Unless your dealer is a total A$$ then I would try my luck but if your really worried about it, take it off and if you still have your stock tires put them back on. I ran 305/70/17's on a set of stock wheels but when I had transmission trouble(3 times) I always put my stock 18's with factory tires back on. You could try and find another dealer to take it to if your's is really picky about aftermarket stuff.

LOL....
It’s obviously apparent that many on these forums have no clue how dealerships work. If he takes this in and the dealer says it’s the LK which caused the premature failure of the boot, the BURDEN OF PROOF LIES UPON THE CUSTOMER if he wants to get his truck back under warranty, otherwise he pays to get it back or hires an attorney (good luck with that too). All the dealer has to do is refuse to work on it. It’s plainly that simple folks.
Any dealer that see’s this LK installed will do one of two things: 1) tell him to take it somewhere else (most likely), or 2) Tell him the warranty will NOT cover this since the SUSPENSION HAS BEEN ALTERED! Argue all you want. Not happening. Magnusson Moss act or not. Hell, Ford doesn’t even warranty those ridiculous looking modded F150’s they sell (can’t remember the name off of them) which come with a LK. Those are warranted through the conversion house which did the modds.
It goes something like this….You mod, you pay…..

If any turds lurking here think otherwise, SIMPLY CALL A DEALERSHIP and ASK. I did.
