Just ordered Auto Spring 2.5" lift and plan for 285/70-17

So I just ordered my 2.5"Auto Spring lift and I'm now trying to decide on tires. I really like the 285/70-17 Firestone Destination M/T's. Would these make the 4.6 4x4 supercab auto with 3.55's too much of a dog?

Anyone have pics of their ride with this size of tire and lift or even just these tires?

I have the 2.5'' AS with the add a leaf on my 04 STX. I have 325 60R 18's on mine, it is a little bit of a dog, but it was with the stockers too so I am ignoring it until I get tuned. I notice an increase in mileage on the highway and a decrease in the city so it all evens out. I have pics of the truck in my gallery. Sorry no help on pics of the tires but I definetely feel that you wont regret buying bigger tires

I'm starting to get a little worried that the 2.5" kit will make my truck sit higher in the front. Did it on yours or was it good and level?

Very sharp truck you got there!!!

simple man, thanks for the compliment, mine actually was dead nuts perfect with just the AS, but it is an 04, 06 had less rake, I put the AAL on and it lowered the front a little and raised the rear an inch. now I have about an inch of rake. I would reccomend keeping the 2.5 and getting the AAL because you will be about perfect with that on your 06. If you look at my gallery, my truck had a rediculous rake stock, so compare it to yours.

No, 33's on stock wheels on a 2wd is all you can fit with an AS which would be a 285 70 17

I've got the 2.5 leveling kit and to me it's perfectly level without the aal in the rear. I have 35's on it and I like the look a lot.

Man I love the yellow. That is probably my favorite color for a truck!

Your truck looks good with the 35's.
