A better reference of what I'm trying to describe. The black tie downs on the outside body...

tie downs

you do realize these are more for aesthetic purposes (looks). they are plastic with thin screws. I wouldn't trust them for anything heavy. I think the proper name is cargo bed tie-downs.

I did not realize that. I thought they looked good, but would be functional also. Either way, it will help with tieing down some of the small stuff I do carry. I searched the "cargo bed tie downs" and they came up with the tie downs that are inside the bed (either the ones on the bed floor or the ones close to the tailgate on the inside panel). Even if it's for aesthetics, I still think they would look good on my truck!

I got them last year and they are great. I mounted them to the inside of the bed rail (horizontal) and down the sides of the tail gate posts (vertical). Since they are aluminum they are easy as hell to cut. The only thing that sucks is the sliders are almost $20 each.

I used to have a sport trac and it had the tie downs on the bed just like that. They worked very well. Never failed me even with some pretty heavy stuff tied down with ratchet straps.
