it didnt knick in the bed it knicked the fender at the tail gate seam...and it knicked deep to right down to the metal. if it was inside the bed it would not be a big deal..

I'd say touchup paint... I did that to my little pressure washer incident, and it came out ok...

But come'on... it's a freakin' truck... its meant to be filthy, scratched, etc.

Pearl Blue and True Blue are different colors. I believe the True Blue was on 04-06's, and Pearl Blue is on 07+ models...

Are you guys serious??? Just because it's a truck, it's supposed to be scratched??? I for one, don't want my truck looking like crap just because it's a "truck".

Plus I didn't see where he asked an opinion on whether he should touch it up or let it rust.

I haul stuff all the time, and I absolutely can't stand scrathes, unless its a work truck you don't give 2 s***s about, why shouldn't it look good, right? Let us know how much the touch up paint runs you, I need to get some of that stuff too.

Nightranger, the dark blue pearl paint is the same as the one used on 02-up explorers, paint code DX. You probably can't find touch up paint for the 150's in that color cause it's fairly new on them (07-08) so look for it under explorers. I know this because the wifes 05 explorer is dark blue pearl, soon as I saw it, I fell in love with that color, so when it was offered in 07 on 150's I had to have it.

Don't know the answer to that one, I put a magnaflow cat back on mine about a month after I got it. My factory system is up in the rafters in the garage.

Try getting a tip for a 3" pipe, a lot of them are adjustable down a size or two. Example- a tip for a 2.5" pipe will fit a 2.5, a 2.25, and a 2. get the idea?

So, if you find an adjustable 3" tip, your golden.

Honestly, if the dealer doesn't have it, I have found touch up paint at places like Advance, Autozone, etc. Even within in few months of the new model. You might try going out to the Duplicolor web site and see if they have any listings. As far as getting it from the dealer, I have gotten touch up paint within days of the new color coming out. Often they will even give you touch up paint if you tell them you just bought from them.

My thoughts exactly, my work truck has scratches and dents all over but it is a work truck and gets abused daily. But until about 6 years ago, when I started my current job and needed a work truck, my 94 was in almost perfect shape. Plus once I can put classic plates on it, only 6 years left, I am going to do a complete frame off restoration on it, since it was the 2nd vehicle that owned and it and I have been through alot together.

But I don't think that my 04 has even 1 scratch or dent that I know of, as long as you don't look inside the bed.

The exhaust is 2.5" ID (inside dia.), which makes it about 2.75 OD (outside dia). Find a tip with a 3" OD or ID and have it welded on and you will be all set

I prefer my truck to be scratchless also. I use it like a truck for hauling and hunting but when you pay a high price for a truck you dont want it to look like sh*t with scratches.
