I don't have alot done to mine, just enough to make it different than 99% of the other truck on the road. Take a look at my gallery.

stupid question !!!

since our beds are fiberglass, i think i'm correct on this.. if i run my exhaust out in front of the back wheels right below the step, will the heat/ exhaust effect the ( bed/step ) in any derogitory way? i'm considering dual tips in front of each back tire. any and all comments appreciated on this consideration. thanks, scott

Nothing should happen to the bed from the heat of the exhaust, the only problem is that the gas tank is on the driverside of the truck which will most likely prevent you from running you exhaust in front of the tire on that side. You could run the exhaust out behind the rear tires and each side without any any problems.

Are you going to be towing alot or at all with the truck? If so, then I would run the exhaust out behind each rear tire or out behind the pass. tire, just to get the exhaust to exit as far away from the cab as possible. I have been in a couple of trucks with the exhaust infront of the rear tire and it gets really annoying while towing for any distance. Plus if you go out the sides then you don't have the exhaust bouncing off the trailer that you are pulling.

I love my flareside, no recent picks in my gallery, but it's a true blue if you want to see it the day it came home.

Nightranger, going along with what PHS79 said, try to avoid a dual out the back if you plan on a lot of towing. A few have reported that the pipes set their spare on fire under extended towing, specifically the magnaflow setup. I would imagine that all dual rear exits under the bumper could cause this problem if given the right conditions.

Here is the thread i was thinking of https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...+truck+on+fire

and another one https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...+truck+on+fire

thanks for the compliment about the camper. My truck only has 2.5 leveling kit. I would like to have a 4" lift but worried about the receiver not being long enough. I don't want to purchase another drop. I got measurements from copenhagen848 with height dimensions. He has 4' lift with 35s.
