I just got my new subs and box today, I will be putting them in as soon as my seats are done, new leathers and I am also doing the floor shifter swap as well.....so I plan for my truck to be out of commission for at least a weekend. I will keep posting pics on this thread, my buddy and me are doing all the work ourselves. I'm going to build a console like pa_wolf62 did(thanks for the idea) for the space in between the shifter and the dash cause I definitely don't want to pay or do the work involved for switching the entire thing out. How do those subs sound? have you heard them before? I was thinking of getting those inplace of my momos I have right now. other then that they looks great man!!! Cant wait to see the final product.

Ballin STX- ahh thanks, I was beginning to think no one cared but to answer your question, I haven't heard these yet, go figure, but I read a lot of customer reviews on them and they seemed to be good, especially for what I paid but I think your Momos might be better.

BTW-any suggestions on an amplifier....not sure what to get, I have a little stereo knowledge but I don't really understand the differences between 2 and 4 channel and the ohms differences??? Any help would be appreciated guys, thanks.

OEM but I'm adding some stuff to it, custom embroidery and piping

My truck is black, i currently have the dreaded flint interior and I'm going with the factory black seats. I haven't decided yet on whether to do red embrodery with red piping or silver cause most of the interior is the stock gray and black, so silver may look better. Only reason I wanted to go with the red accent is I ordered a rear oval overlay and steering overlay with my company logo on it, and they are black and red.....thats whats going to be on the seats also. Any suggestions on the accent color???

 

hmm, i think red would look nice. how you gonna do all the embroidery?

I guess I'll step up and be the "no givin' ya love" **** and explain what happened:

When you started off showing us a relatively inexpensive, widely available sub box and a pair of subs that will fit but sound ~okay~ but not great in that enclosure, some of us weren't too impressed.

You then went into a little tease about your "whatever the name was" custom company (you and your pal looking like a couple big rollers) doing the install and putting seat covers on, we became less impressed.

The fact you've now edited your original post to take out the "yournamehere" custom shop and the fact that you still haven't talked about what head unit or amplification you'll be using just left the rest of us yawning.

Talking up your custom work but being excited about copying the custom console work from somebody else is just too many oxymorons in one post.

So, now there will be a bunch of flaming messages about what a jerk I am, and how I never say anything positive...but the truth is that this is the reason a bunch of us read your original post and didn't respond.

OnBelay- I'm not at all offended, I understand totally what your saying. I guess I was just a little excited when I got the subs yesterday, I didn't think they would, as you say, not sound so good, but to each their own. And about the "custom shop" name, I did have it in at first, but then realized it might seem kinda gay, and I guess I was right, its just that my friend and I do a lot of work to our vehicles and other peoples rides that we are proud of, and by no means am I saying it is great, over-the-top, extreme custom stuff we do, but we try...and we are trying to get our company up and running so I figured I would reference it, then changed my mind for the exact reason you stated. Plus I didn't want the thread to get removed for someone thinking I was trying to promote my company. BTW, if you look in my gallery you can see my HU there.
I always apperciate the honesty of others though, gives an insight into the opinions of others, which is exactly why we do what we do. Again, no offence taken

 

OnBelay- also I never "talked up" my custom work, simply put up a thread of the mods I am doing, just like everyone else on here. And I even sighted pa_wolf62 for the great idea of the console extention, and gave props to everyone who has went the extra mile and replaced the entire dash.
