-47*C (-53F) here with Windchill *pics*
So its been -47*C here today with the windchil. -31*C without the wind. Good news is wind is dieing down tonight but badnews is the temp is going to -38*C overnight......
My truck screamed sooooo loud this morning after i turned it on...even after being plugged in all night.
Found some snow drifts that i went through. Mainly about 1 foot of snow then went through a 3 foot drift then into the 1 foot drift with half the truck.
Pretty easy nothing crazy but pics for those who are bored on a monday night.
PS - camera phone pics

I drive so fast ice freezes backwards

I went ice fishing at Antero Reservoir last week in the high mountains of Colorado and the temp outside without wind chill was -35 F. That is why we pull sleds with tents and propane heaters to keep us happy and alive. Fishing was great. Imagine a nice size single tent with: propane heater; depth finders; cooler of food and soft drinks; warm alaskan snow suits; lots of action and no city noise. Downright comfy.
A few days later I went to Elevenmile Reservoir near Hartsall, CO and it was only -25 below, thought I was in the warm zone.
Truck started up immediately, no problem. But some of the diesels at the parking lot had to really warm up their glo plugs to get their units started.
