I was just wanting to know what is the difference between the yukon gears and the Genuine G-2 gears?

I just want a set of gears that run quiet and have a long life.. The guy that will be installing them is a heavy duty mechanic for Ford... just want some input on the gear you guys are running.

 

Precision or Yukon.

 

i just got my yukons 4.88's, i had precision before and there both pritty much the same. the only thing is that i dont think they make precision in 4.88's do they? i had them in 4.56's

 

Yeah, I had both in my truck though. I don't remember who doesn't make what though.

 

Precision doesnt make 4.88's for your front differential

 

I have been looking into this also. It seems precision, us gear, and yukon are all good manufacturers. I found a local place that sells Yukon.
