Aftermarket Leather in my XLT

I'm fed up with trying to keep my flint colored cloth seats clean in my '06 SuberCab XLT. If you have this color, in this material you know what I'm talking about.

Time to suck it up and spend some money. I'm goin' leather!!!

I found a place in Irving, Texas that'll do it in two-tone for $1145 or all one color for $1095. They say they use material from Katzkin or Classic Soft Trim.

Can anyone comment on which brand is better? If you have leather in your truck please post pics or if you have pictures already in your gallery let me know. I'd love to have a peek.

Call ford. It's just seat covers. I think you can get it cheaper through them and not have to drive to texas. I know all the ford dealerships in san antonio will take out the cloth in mustangs and trucks at a decent price.

You're gonna hate me. A couple years back I stripped off the cloth seat covers because of the water staining problem that you described and installed factory leather.

Paid $99.99+$40.00 shipping on eBay
Rear covers needed to be modified from SCrew to fit my SCab $100.00
Installed everything myself

Total for factory leather seats $240.00

Nope I don't hate you...but I do love the way those seats look.

Did you put them on yourself?

Yep. Wasn't hard at all. I just looked on eBay and there are several sets of the Katskins going for 499.00 + shipping. Might be a cheaper option unless your already sold on what you found.

There are several places where you can buy new take out factory sets. Here is a link to one, they have a set for $349.

I'm sure there are others if you look.

I ordered mine from newtakeoff.com.I have a supercab and it looks just like oxlander's setup. The install is easy, just do some research on the forum and take your time. The only problem I had was they sent me a supercrew rear seat bottom that was too big and one of headrests had a chunk of leather missing from it. They took care of me and got the order fixed.

Yes I had those wonderful flint cloth seats before. And I was also concerned about the gray seatbelts and the black leather, but as you can see in those pictures it really isnt an issue. It all blends together really well and I get constant compliments from all my passengers when they climb in. I often hear " Wow, is this really a truck?"

Well I finally got the leather seats on my truck. I went with Katzkin charcoal w/ smoke inserts. South Side Trim in Irving Tx. did a great job on the install. I guess I could have saved some money doing it myself but this sort of thing ain't my cup of tea. Besides going with one of Katzkin's or Classic Soft Trim's authorized installer you get a 3 yr/36000 mi. warranty.

Wish I had a camera that worked. Must see to appreciate.
