06+ ProComp Skid Plate problem w/pics

Hi,

Did anyone have to trim the front valance to get the skid plate to mount?

ProComp says I have the right bracket(they only make one) and no cutting should be necessary. I'd hate to cut this much out of my bumper.

When I put it on, it was a direct bolt on kit, except for the damn 3 allen bolts I striped out. I'm not sure I'm exactly seeing your problem there. Are you sure you have the bracket turned the right way?

Impact, Thanks for the pic. Looks like to 04-05 valance is more slanted than mine.

The only 06+ skid plate I've seen on here is Baja150. Hopefully he'll see this and reply.

The tabs on the mounting bracket (that attach the plate to the bracket)are sittin directly on the valance. The back of the valance is 90deg. to the ground and the tabs are angled.

Must be different on the 04's because mine is exactly like Impact's. Worst comes to worst, don't cut the valance just drill through it and bolt it in with the bracket and skid plate. Make sure you paint the bolts black though.

Yeah, there was a bumper change in 06(front and rear).

I'm still weighing my options. Hopefully the person I spoke with at ProComp wll get back to me.

Thanks for the help guys. Anyone else know about the mounting for 06+.
