i believe if you can bring it to market and show people (commercials etc), you would have it sold.

now the concept truck, would there be any kind of warranties coming with it? i know not many people would keep it stock, but just the piece of mind that comes with it. it looks awesome and good job on the bumpers... you fixed something that i saw on the original f150's that i didn't like. kudos

hey, thanks for supporting the troops. i watched the videos on there.... good to know that ya'll are helping them out.
The gears are 4.56 and we did in compensation for the Very Very tall 23" wheels and tires (i think they measure 32.5" tall)

I do agree with everyone here that the truck is a little late to the dance, but it will sometime still before the new F-150 is out.

We are trying to get Saleen to build these with us and they would sell them to the dealerships and inturn to the customer. That would add mark up but when we are doing it on a large scale say....500 trucks we can buy the trucks very cheap to begin with then the cost of labor, body parts, wheels, superchargers, everything goes down on that scale. Meaning we have about 45K tied up in the truck (cost of truck and parts) as it sits. But doing a large scale is going to dramatically drop the price.

so you get the truck for 40ish then you drop another 25-30 in in to make around 600 to the tires, for 70+ grand I'll keep mine and buy a gen2 L, the new style F150 is just too heavy..... but its a good idea

It would look much nicer as a real Saleen in a reg cab styleside . It looks like a wanna be Saleen.

JimIII, I had a question about the 4.56 gears that you installed on your Saleen truck. I’m planning to swap my 3.73 stock gears for either 4.10 gears or 4.56 gears. Right now I’m leaning towards the 4.10 gears since I do about 80% of my driving on the highway. But I’m still having thoughts about the 4.56 gears. I plan on upgrading my 20” wheels to the Saleen 23’s with the BFG tires that are on your Saleen truck, so I will be significantly heavier and slower once I do that upgrade. What kind of performance gains will I be missing if I go with the 4.10’s instead of the 4.56 gears? Also, how are the noise levels on the highway compared to the stock 3.73 gears the were on the Saleen truck?

The 4.56 gears are perfect with the Saleen wheel and tire combo. If you do alot of highway even crusing at 80 is only about 2500-2600 RPM. I drive our Saleen truck alot and I have had a few cruises in these two new concept F150's we built. The trucks all have awesome response and still have plenty of RPM for top end mph runs and cruising steady on the highway. The noise levels are minimal but we did spend alot of time making sure when we installed the gears they were setup perfectly.

They are a great mod if your going to the Saleen 23" wheels and tires, also i can get you a killer deal on that wheel package if your in need. Just give me a ring at the shop...732-780-0770

Thanks for the info, JimIII. I guess I will go with the 4.56 gears instead of the 4.10's. I forgot to ask, but how is your gas mileage with the 4.56 gears compared to when you had the stock 3.73's?

^^^ Beautiful truck, but I wouldn't do it with the new trucks coming out in 6 or 7 months. I'd wait on the new body regular cab and make a JDM version based on JDM's experience with these trucks. I'm sure yours would be more aggressive than Saleen or Roush. Good luck with your decision.

Fuel economy isnt that bad but im sure alot of it is in the tune. In the saleen S331 truck I get about 13-14 around town and 17 highway. with the new concept JDM Saleen truck we get about 15 and 18. Both have 456's the S331 Saleen just has more boost it runs 13 psi right now on the stock engine!!!

that front bumper is fugly, the white wheels are fugly, the white trim on the tail lights are fugly, the grill not matching the lower grill makes it look horrible, the lower grill look like its made of some cheap expanded metal, why would you put black headlights on a whited out truck?, i agree the bumpers need to be sucked in but the rear wont look right being that you didnt take the time to do it right(the curves wont match up and i can see in the vid that they dont), i dont like the truck at all

and that isnt a lightning concept truck, looks like its just the cervini body kit, but not the hood or grill to finish the "concept lightning" look

this is the lightning

lost a lot of respect for you guys from this vid(even though i didnt have much respect for you guys to begin with)

Thanks for your constructive criticism, however we weren't going for a lightning replica, its our interpretation of a concept F-150 for Saleen. otherwise we would have just called cervini's and ordered a body kit.

We were trying to build a somewhat low budget Saleen concept truck with the performance the Gen 3 L was supposed to have.

If you lost respect from a video that we produced to bring a vehicle to the F-150 community then im sorry. We put a lot of time and money into bringing this truck to life. If you had something like this to show everyone your hard work, I would never say such a thing. However I do respect your opinion on the trucks appearance because everyone doesnt have the same taste.

i know your truck isnt a L nor were you going for that, i was reffering to the silver truck in the vid that you mentioned was the lightning concept....

i relize this has cost you alot of money and will continue to cost alot of money, which is why i said what i did, people around here tend to sugar coat what they say or dont say anything at all which was what i was going to do because some people on here get on me when i say what i think, but anyways i personly didnt think the truck flowed well, and would hate to see someone put so much money into something that wouldnt sell, i was just giving my honest oppinion

sorry if i offended you, it wasnt my intentions
