ok so my windows were starting to get slow going up and then it got to where some of them i would have to hit the button a few times before it started to go up then they wouldnt go up at all, well i took apart the switch to try cleaning them like some people have and that worked for about a day, and once again the driverside window was stuck down, so got a new switch from ford for about $50 and worked like new......

so try hooking power to the window motor to see if it works that way, if it does then its just a bad switch....
The motor runs fine...switch works fine too. It just won't go anywhere. I can push the window up and down with my hands easily. It's like there's something broke physically inside the box the motor attaches to.

I called the dealer this morning. They have one in stock with the motor attached: $142. I'll be buying that today and putting it on this evening.

All done~! Man that was easy Literally about 25 minutes or so to replace it. 5 bolts and it's out. I already had the door panel off, so it was a breeze to get it out.

About $151 with tax for the replacement from the dealer, with the motor in it.

Thanks again

When mine broke the second time (or was it the third?) I was totally freaked out. I walked out of a mall into a parking garage to find the window down.

Nothing was missing, but it did prompt a very long letter to Ford on this recurring issue.

Maybe I'll do a postmortem on the dead unit. I believe a gear broke inside the box the motor attachs to, but that's just a guess until I look at it.
