2005 xlt speed compensated volume

just bought a 2005 xlt screw, love the truck but having 2 problems that maybe someone here could help with.

1) my speed compensated volume won't work. i tried it from 0-7 and still no luck.

2) my outside temperature reading stays at 90-100 degrees, no matter what the temperature outside is, or what my truck is doing (idling, traffic, open road, interstate)

if anyone can help me with these two things i would appreciate it, thanks.

oh and i can't bring it to the dealer, bought it from a friend who didnt care about the scv and the temperature. just incase anyone would just say bring it in.

thanks

I think the temp guage has to be fixed by reflashing the pcm.

I have never been able to tell a difference with radio. The truck is quiet so sit doesn't matter. It does work and does make a hugh difference on my BMW motorcycle.

The temperature wasn't working properly on my truck either. They did a reflash and it was still sluggish and they replaced the sensor behind the grille. That fixed it.

its not that it is not under warranty, its just i don't have a dealer close to where i live, and i work to where i cant make it there to get it checked. might of not explained it right.

also dont have an owners manual, he lost it.

was hoping someone on here could explain how to do it myself, due to not being able to bring it in or anything. if possible to do it myself
