I left early this morning to drive to kentucky, to look at a bright red loaded fx4. Who would have thought in a 100 mile trip I'd pass another large ford dealer, so I whipped into see what he had. This young guy comes out, he's maybe 22 or 23 he asked what i'm looking for, I tell him what and I also tell him that I have a standing appointment at another dealer to look at X truck, I have the VIN and the window sticker I printed from off line. He out of the blue ask's me what kind of deal I was offered, At this point I go to great lengths telling him, the WHO,WHAT and HOW. He looks me straight in the eyes and says call them and tell them you're not comming I just under bid them, I kind of laugh and he says stay right here. He returns with a guy maybe 60 years old the guy shakes my hand and says thanks for buying from us, I look at him and say what, I Never Said I Was Buying. he snickers and says to me oh yes I think you will, He ask's me straight foreward what I'm looking at and what was the price I was quoted at the other dealer. At this point I'm thinking this guy is going to let me have the same truck for 100. or 200 less to keep me here., He looks at my trade in my 2004 fx4 with 29,ooo miles he makes a note and says follow me. When he said this I was kind of mad it was almost an order, we go in set down he has someone bring me coffee and right off the top he says I'll beat their quote by 2500.00 right now if you want my truck. So here I am the owner of a 2008 S/C, FX4 Flairside for 24,000. I'll post pics in a day or two, its awesome and it was totally by accident.....I LOVE FORD
