Whats it take? exhaust

Hey guys... I have my duals straight out the back. What does it take for them to come out to the sides with a 45degree angle? Can a shop just bend the pipe or what? I'd like to get some slash cut tips, thanks

Just go to a muffler shop and tell them what you want. They will bend you up 2 new pipes from the muffler back, install them and weld the tips on. Around here it seems to cost alot more than other areas to have custom exhaust work done. Here something like what you are looking to do would cost abour $3-400, for new pipes, tips, install, and getting rid of your old stuff.

I had a cat back exhaust made for me at a local muffler shop, he started with straight pipe and bent the whole thing for me while I was sittin and waitin. I had both pipes bent right after the rear tires so they would come out to the sides like in the picture you added, the whole thing cost $235 to have made. Only problem I found with the install was he cut off the flange that bolted to the mid pipe and welded the cat back and mid together, not a huge issue, I can always just cut it and have one made.

BTW, the whole thing was done using one Flowmaster 50 Series, not the best for performance, but gets the job done

when i had my silverado, i had them coming straight out by the hitch and got sick of hearing the rumble when pulling a trailer. i cut the tips off myself, with a sawzall and had the shop bend some 45's, weld them on, put the tips back, cost me 45 bucks. but im sure it depends on where you go. i bought the magnaflow slash cuts off ebay, got 2- 3.5x24" 2.5 inch maglanflow stainless polished for 62 bucks shipped. make sure you get stainless though, your tips take a beating behind the tires. it shouldnt cost much because you already dual exhaust, they only gotta bend like 15 inches of pipe (for each side), it shouldnt take no more than a hour at most.
