sold my chevy bought a 05 f150 FX4

hey everyone i'm new to the fourm after reading alot of you guy's posts and i have been having soo much trouble with my 1997 chevy half ton i know its 10 years old but since i owned it in 2002 i have had nothing but trouble seems like everything has broke. like i mean i used the truck off road and it was lifted with 35's it should hold up Right? so after the transmission went a few weeks back i had enough and went looking for a used truck and after driving my dads 07 f150 i went out and bought a 05 f150 fx4 and wow what a diff ford is by far a way better truck be4 buying i took out all new half tons and ford was far the best and the 04+ is by far the best looking pick up

Welcome aboard!

I'm not going to say much about the GM trucks, because lots of my friends and family own them. I gained a preference for Ford back in College after repeated bad experiences with GM products...

We may not be the fastest, but that is because our Fords are built different, actually built to do something silly like handle a decent sized load.. I know, such a frivolous thing for a pickup truck to do...

Anyway, enjoy the truck, and good luck fighting off the mod bug...

Welcome
I had a 2001 Silverado had to rebuilt trans, rear end, new axeles ,and new front hubs by 100,000 miles. Now wiith about 95,000 on my 04f150 so far no major issues. But I can`t bag on Chevy cause my other truck is a 96 sub. 4x4 and with 170,000 I`m very pleased.
