I've spoken to this guy a few times. The fitment of Whiplash kits are known to be very "rough" and often need modifications to fit. They are a very unreliable company and customer service is nonexistent. Anybody with 5 minutes of google time can tell you that.

thats too big IMO, you can run only 40 inch tires? that truck in the pic looks funny with those small tires. but to each his own. thats a good price, but if its junk.....

I don't know if I'd want a suspension called Whiplash, just the name makes it sound rough

Everyone for the most part hit the nail on the head. Whiplash lifts are garbage beyond belief. Whiplash has had about three names because they had to close down shop due to lawsuits with their first two names. I believe a few people even got hurt in an accident when their parts failed ..

two things make me nervous about this kit.

1. it says its for 2wd and 4wd

2. the price. ive searched for 12" lifts for 2wd trucks and the cheapest ive seen is $4500. and the only other 14" kit ive seen was $4800

You probably get a toy truck with a scaled 14" inch lift.

14" is too big for a 1/2 ton at any rate, nevermind the quality. Thats huge.

Especially at $1,700 for the lift... it should be more like $6,000....
