Pics of SCAB with 5 1/2 ft bed

Been thinking of replacing 04 SCAB with new model and was considering the really short bed to help with garage space. I've seen a few GMC's with this set up but wondering if anyone has a pic of an F150.

With a bed that small wouldn't an Explorer Trac make more sense then? I just got rid of a Dakota Quad Cab because the bed was too small for me so I may be biased though..

No.

Explorer Sport Trac is:

1. Ugly
2. Can't tow ****
3. Has a 4 foot bed

You can't compare a Dakota to an F-150. That's like comparing apples to oranges. It just doesn't work.

Don't be. I see those things (Sport Tracs) all over my neighborhood. They seem pretty popular with the guys that need SOME utility, but a real pickup just seems so un-green to them. Of course those STs get crap for milage too...

im actually looking at buying one within the next year for my wife. its really a great all around vehicle. 4x4, 3v 4.6 , small bed yes, but perfect if you just need to haul around everyday stuff. yeah it cant tow, but we have other vehicles for that. the ST will be our family vehicle and i cant wait to get it

p.s. 1000th post w00t!!

I was simply comparing the bed sizes. I loved my Dakota but the new F150 rocks no doubt. My previous F150 (I've had 3) was a '94 and still suffered from the telltale loose steering. The 2007 is tight and honestly doesn't drive much larger than the Dakota did but offers ENDLESS more room!

After looking at the pics posted in this thread I have to admit that the 5.5' bed looks stellar in the SCabs no doubt. I still prefer the larger box of the 6'5 though. Nice rides everyone!
