Did you get it fixed or did it just come unstuck?

LOL the same exact thing happened to me about a week ago. It hadnt worked in about 1.5 years, and since i hadnt tried it in about 4 months, i tried it and the thing opened right up like a champ. i was like holy s*** and opened and closed it like 3 more times just to make sure i wasnt dreaming, worked fine.

So its working now i guess. Who knows it'll prolly die again soon.

Mine didn't work all summer, but once it got cold out, it started working again. I brought it to the dealership last week and told them that and they replaced the motor under warranty.

Mine was always the same way...worked when it felt like it. Had it replaced under warranty and talked to the tech. He said the one's he was replacing were internally corroding (sp?) on the motor brushes etc from moisture. Best thing to do is cycle it open and closed every time you drive it to keep the contacts clean. I've been doing that for a year and it works every time now! Just a thought to try...

I was told this was mainly caused after a rain. If you open it while the window is still wet it seems to keep the seals around the window from sticking. It seems as though the problem isnt with the motor not working but that the motor isnt strong enough to break the seal once it is stuck. I have been doing this for the past two years and it seems to be working.

I know this may sound goofy. But what is the purpose behind a sliding rear window?
I've never had one, not sure what one is good for....
Sure seems like a lot of hassle....

Open sun roof + open sliding glass window = perfect breeze coming through the truck on those nice spring days.

Plus my dog likes to stick her head out the rear window.

doing work on the ranch in the summer, i often have people riding in the bed. makes it easy to communicate through the back window when its open.
