There's been a rash of tailgates stolen on the Knoxville area boat ramps lately....I was thinking of getting an alarm...but..the service mgr at one of the local "stealerships" said it would mess with the already installed system...( the one that locks/unlocks the doors with the key fob)...I've got an '06 Scab...keep my tailgate locked at all times and my ARE bed cap locked...but..it doesn't hurt to have a little more insurance..anybody have problems with their alarm systems???? What kind do you suggest?? thanks

 

Get a hose clamp for a buck or two and put it on the tailgate hinge, I believe on the right side. Somebody had tried to steal mine, there were hand prints all over it, but they couldn't get it off. Plus keeping it locked is a good idea also, but sometimes I know I forget.

 

i just installed a code ca671 alarm on my truck that had the factory remote entry and i got it from www.kcautosound.com which they include step by step instructions of how to install it and with it being my first alarm install it only took 3 hrs and the price was great and i absolutly love it
