i figure they are the same exact things (i think) i am looking at this summit racing catback http://store.summitracing.com/partde...=1#Application ,i found that it fits my truck under the catagory stx,standard cab short bed 4.6L auto. so wont this fit my 07 even though it only says 05-06?

You're link takes you to an unknown page on Summit's site.

However, I would guess you're probably ok. But take 5 minutes call them or the exhaust manufacturer and confirm that what you want fits your truck. It's not worth the hassles of getting RMA's and return shipping if WE steer you the wrong way.

One thing you'll notice with most performance parts companies, they are very slow to update model year info on parts. These days, the Fords, Chevy's, etc are being very resistant about releasing information. Especially since they are getting deeper and deeper into the performance game themselves. Why should they help their competition.

What exhaust are you thinking of? I've got a Magnaflow SI/SO on my 07, and it sounds great. Looks great too except for the exhaust tip. Which turned a light brown shade and a year later still looks that way. Oh well, not something I'm worried about.
