Supercharger/Transmission Upgrade

For you guys with superchargers... did you beef up your transmission? or does it slip at all with all of the extra power?

also do yall know if you can have a bulletproof transmission made for our trucks?

Darrin Burch over at BCautomotive.com can build you a good beefy trans around the 3K mark with converter.

Im still running the stock trans. I keep the fluid changed at 25K inervals, and so far the fluid has looked great, not been burnt or contaminated to indicate any abuse or possible problems.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but DANG Matt 05'FX4!

Just looked at the pics for your truck and it looks awsome. Have you done anything to your suspension other than the traction bars?

Thanks man! All I did was pull the 2" 4x4 blocks out of the rear to sit it level.

I'm getting a slip in 4th and overdrive. Jury is still out if it is a problem with the new gears or if the tranny is going. The truck has been parked for 2 months, so I still have yet to take it in to find out exactly what is going on.

Huitt, you need to get your azz to a track, would love to see what you run with 390rwhp and 450 ft/lbs of torque. What numbers were you pushing when you ran the mid 14 sec 1/4 mi time.

LOL if it is the Factory tech separator plate you are hurting your tranny. I had one and measured the hole dia. with a slide dial gauge and some of the factory holes were larger than the FTSP.
