the handles, mirrors, and flares were painted for $250 total. The paint is pealing off the handles and flares so next week im taking it into a shop and having them paint some flares and lt handles i bought. The reason why the paint comes off so easily is the texture being painted is just so tough to have retain paint for so long. I bought the smooth lariat flares and lt handles, so there should be no problem having the paint stay on them.

The original handles weren't sanded before painting? Were they just painted over as is?

no, they werent sanded. the guy has chit for brains. they have lasted for a year and a half, so theres nothing i can do now. i had a lapse in judgdement when i took my truck there.

ya i know. im just waiting for the lt handles to get in so i can take it up to the paint shop. i should have the flares and handles done by thursday, depending when the handles get in. i figured id install them myself and save some money. I know theres a write-up on here, but does anyone have any tips that arent mentioned in there?
