wet carpet!

i pulled out my husky liners yesterday and found a little bit of moisture under the front passenger side. this is about the third time i have noticed the wet spot.

nothing has been spilled there and i would like to see if its an easy do-it-yourself or something the stealership has to fix.

thanks ya'll

heater core or plugged a/c drain possible and not ruling out some door seal leak, either way if its under warrenty I'd send it back

the truck already has 50k so i guess the dealer gets to figure it out. i really wanted to know if it was a common problem.

thanks for the reply

I am dropping off my 06 at the dealership tomorrow for the same problem. I will let you know how it turns out.

From what I have read there is a common problem with these trucks leaking in the front passenger and the trhird brake light, which I had fixed once at the dealer and is leaking again.

Do you have a sun roof? If so the drains may be clogged. They should be on the door pillar around the door henge. I had this problem with a Volkswagon.

my wife's 06 expedition did the same thing pulled the floor liner out and floor was wet i let it dry out and when it rained wet again
took it to the dealership they have a subcontractor that detects leaks and not to mention he only works one day a week for the ford dealer
first time they told me that it was probably condensation from the ac
I said bullsh*t they finally found a leak at the fire wall under the cowl plastic

My 06 Screw did the same thing. Dealer farmed it out and I have no leaks. Have no idea where the leak was coming from but from all I have read it was probably the AC drain.

My dad's 06 was in for the same problem a month ago. Something with the condensation drainage. Seems to be a common problem arising.

OK, I heard from the dealer today. Service manager said they see a lot of them and it is usually a windshield. On mine they think it is the seal between the firewall and the A/C. They are going to order the parts and I have to take it back when they get them. I am worried because i have heard that it can be caused from about 8 different things.

well, i do hope that they buy you the gas to return about 4-5 times till they find where the leak is. went through that with wifeys chuv-it-or-leav-it(cheverolet) colorado. 3 trips later they found the leak and it wound up being a plug in the floor pan up next to the firewall!
