How do i protect my truck?

Last week i noticed someone had stole a coupe of drawers from my garage that had some credit info. and a card. The a$$ holes charged 350.00. The bank credited me back the money. I thought it was all over and done with until this mourning. I realized my spare key and beeper for my truck were in one of the drawers. The dirt bags can take my truck anytime they want. Other than buying the CLUB what can i do? I know changing the locks would be expensive. Anybody got any advice?

www.trojan.com???

Ok, sorry - that is the first thing that popped in my mind when I read the subject. I don't know why!!

In all seriousness - I would spend the $$ to change the locks / remote. This was you know that you are "safe".

got insurance? Try calling them and see what they can do if someone stole your keys. Actually better have someone else do that just in case your insurance don't cover a re-key. Then if the truck gets stolen you can play dumb and just get a new truck. Just take the sentimental things out of it. That's what I would do.

if you have an 04+ you can get the electronic key recoded at the dealer for about $50 plus $27 if you want another key made. they will still be able to unlock the door but they cant start the truck. thays what I did when my ex wife stole my spare key.

Ah, if they still got the key... they could just try to get off with it or set it on fire... who knows what they'll do. Just be glad you still have a house and truck...

I've been hearing some crazy stuff going around with robbers and random arsonists.

There is no way around this, get new keys and locks. If you dont want to do that just get an aftermarket alarm and take your chances.

well, depends on what year your truck is and how much money you've put into it. if you want a new truck, you could just..... naw, thats dumb i know. get an alarm either from kcautosound or autoalarmpro. they both are great. in all honesty, since i have a lot of free time since its xmas break, i would park my truck out front in complete view of whoever, sit in a room closest to the truck and look out the window, holding a nice double barrel in my hands, and when i see the perps, put a few nice holes in them. btw, the club doesnt work, there are ways around it.

Im sure your insurance would cover something like that. Just have your computer re-programmed and get new keys. Also have a electronic door key pad put on instead of the key hole. I hope ur deductable isn't like mine ($500)

Get your key reprogrammed. Also get a alarm with the 2way pager remote. That way if you are near the truck you will know that someone is messing with it. Also if you buy you will have to install yourself, or pay someone. Check local Best Buy's and Circuit City's. I have a Audiovox with the pager remote, and remote start. I think it runs less than $500 installed.
