Air bags and lift

I know someone put air bags on their lifted truck, I searched but didnt find anything. Could someone post the pics or the person that did it explain it to me? I really need to do this now that I will be towing my ranger a lot more.

I found a place that sells spacers for lifted trucks but what size do I need. My truck has the procomp kit so it is only a 2.5 inch rear lift right? Also would I need a tapered spacer or strait spacer it says to use the tapered one when you have factory tapered blocks, are our blocks tapered?

Sorry Ethan, I would just be guessing answering those questions. But I will guess anyways. I think that would must have either a 4.5 or 5" rear block, which most likely is tapered to help keep the pinion angle in check. With the stock airbag kit there is a 1.5" spacer that bolts to the bag mount, you can see it in the top pic that I posted. So you take that amount plus 2.5 or 3" ( since that is the amount that your rear block is bigger than stock) and you would need either a 4" or 4.5" spacer. But like I said I am just guessing at these numbers.

I remember someone posting that Firestone will actually make you a kit specificly for a lifted truck, this may just be an internet rumor, but worth checking into.

I actually talked to the airlift rep yesterday. He said they are now making one sku number that will work with any lifted truck. It is a spacer kit that is available now, and works as a shim kit that you can interchange to get the proper angle and spacing. Hope this helps.

I could not find the info on their website, so you may have to email them.
