E-85 gas

My 07 F-150 can use E-85 gas. I have found some stations selling it. Any body use it? Curious if your truck had any problems. Thanks for any info. Dave

My 07 will run it also, they just started selling it in my area. I have my first tankful of E-85 in my truck right now, too early for any feedback other than it seems to run a little stronger.

Dad only runs E-85 in his 06 home on the farm...he loves it, especially the price He says he gets about the same gas mileage too...

Runs great in the truck AND supports the American corn farmer, why wouldn't you run it

There are many opinions on E-85 - both for and against.

I don't have any vehicles that can use it, so my actual knowledge is nil, and my personal bias is against its use.

But in just looking at the science of heat content per gallon - E-85 needs to sell for about 75-80% of the price of regular unleaded to break even on fuel cost per mile. But the higher octane content has some value too, towards performance. In short - the arguments get muddied pretty quick.

Since there are no known or publicized detrimental effects, such as corrosion issues, for a vehicle that is properly set up to use the stuff, suggest to try a couple of tankfuls and to draw your own conclusions.
