welp should i? i have been offered penny for penny pay off? it only has 14400 miles on it now. wife tellin me hell no but again it is my truck not hers. i have considered so maybe i can buy a bronchoII and drop a v-8 down in her, jack her up, beef her up? not sure. this truck is way to perfect to be out in the woods destroying. i learned that after going hunting a couple times( and getting a couple of deer) that this is not the truck to be going to the woods with.... way too nice. it actually hurt my feelings to go out and scratch her. not to mention getting mud and dirt in the floor mats. so what do you all think? should i buy a spray paintable truck to purposly go four wheelin when i want muddin when i want, if i scratch it you can spray paint over the damage and keep going. if you break something slap it back together with junk yard parts? thanks for all input i recieve!!!

I wouldn't sell it off then start driving a Bronco II...Thats just my two cents. I wouldn't worry about the scratches and the mud either..its a truck, it can handle it. Just don't get abusive or anything, I spent the first 6 months I owned mine worrying over every little thing, its just a good way to go out of your mind. I still really look out for my truck, but I'm not as bad as I was

 

if all you have a truck for is too offroad, then i'd sell it. its way easier and cheaper to fix an older truck, not to mention they can take molesting way better than they new ones. and to fix on the trail. i'd say buy a beater there more fun anyway

 

no this truck aint for for offroading by no means but in the event i do decide to go to the woods i dont want to tear it up there for i am '*****footin' it around, becouse im so scared of damaging such a beautiful thing. wife says why not just buy the broncho II and have it to tear up and leave the heritage for the asphalt?? thanks for the immediate input i do appreciate it! the seller of the broncho II wants me to buy tomarrow... so maybe i will head in that direction... maybe my heritage is just too new im still in the please dont hurt me stage! lol! continual input appreciated!

 

Keep the heritage as a d/d, buy the bronco 2 or some thing else as a beater.

is nice truck my friend if you sell u going missing just buy the bronco II and keeping the truck...... don't worry a bouth the scracht u cant fixing easy.......

 

I always find it funny when people post stuff like this...especially people that have no clue how much work is involved with such a project. From some of your other posts (especialy the one about trying to fix your seat angle) I take it your not too overly mechanicaly inclined...so "dropping in a V8" I would think is a little bit much for you. My dad in I did a V8 swap on a Ranger quite a few years ago and I can tell you that it don't just drop in. And that was a 2wd...if your wanting to retain your 4wd its that much more complicated. I would suspect you would have way more in the truck than you could even imagine. Keep your "cream puff" heritage and buy a fourwheeler and trailer.

 

I gotta agree that a V-8 swap into Bronco II is going to be a major PITA. The V-6 in those things is plenty powerful. Not the best of motors, but it'll get the job done. Just regear the front/rear axles with 4.88 or 5.__ gears. then lift it 6 inches and run 35" tires. easy to do and very affordable

keep the truck. it looks pretty clean and there is no point ditching it for a trail truck. just get a nice trailer to tow with and buy the Bronco II

 

heck i thought i done a very good job dealing with my seat leveling problem? i mearly asked about for additional suggestions beyond the extent of my thinking ability especially when i came to the cleanliness of the job. with the suggestions from here i was able to do a very good looking clean cut, professional looking job. but thanks for the imput

My point exactly...if you got to ask for suggestions on how to put spacers under a seat bracket I dont think your ready for a V8 Ranger/Bronco II swap. But if you feel you are by all means jump on it.

BTW there is a little button on the the bottom left and right side of your keyboard called the "SHIFT KEY"....google it.

 

ramss/t you've been very negative towards me since my first post? why, i've done nothing more then try to find me a new home for the weekends instead of internet ****, couse prior to finding this place thats where i spent all of my time! what the shift key got to do with anything? not all of us out here are educated on how to operate a stupidputer, as stated in my very first responce to your negativity to my typing ability im a puter stuppy, never had the luxuries of having typewriters or computers growing up. hell i never even had an education to back up puter skills, to busy supporting and finishing to raise my parents family since they where no longer around to do so... so if my lack of education or typing ability is all you can find to rant about in a negative fashion directed towards me then please dont even read my posts as it does nothing more then upset you to the point of leaving negative feedback to everythig that i type so iam very SORRY (hey i just found the cap lock button makes all them their letters bigger)(lololol) to all i have upset or bothered with my ignorance..
