Broken Driver Side Window Regulator, Cable, etc...

So I was driving one day and all of a sudden my driver side window stops moving...

I figured Id leave it alone and deal with it later...as I drive the window starts sinking and finally drops into the door. Given I have a full stereo system with headrests and all, I decided to go straight to Ford before heading to work to get it fixed.

Well, to make a long story short...to fix it...$511.00!!! OUCH!

Replaced Cables, Regulator and Module...or whatever. My truck has been solid with no service related issues at all until this. This is the most expensive maintenance item Ive paid for yet, other than my major services!!!!...and what sucks, its a damn window problem. SUCKS!

Sorry, I wished you would have had time to search the forums a bit before you took it in. There was a bunch of us a few months ago that the same thing happened to. After finding out a few things, most of us got them replaced at our respective Ford stealerships for around 275 on average.

Fixed my own regulator when it failed. $87.99+shipping from fordparts.com and about 1 hour of my own labor.
