I just loaded my ranger up to go to the races this weekend and my truck cant even haul it I am almost at full bump with the ranger only. I dont have any tools or food/camp goods. WTF the ranger is 3300lbs and then what ever the trailer weighs, and my truck is squated all the way down. I though I was rated for like 9200 lbs? I only have a half tank of fuel, but there is no way my truck can haul my race truck. Does lifting with blocks somehow with leverage or somethign take away from what you can tow?
Im geared I think its because of the toung weight, what can I do to get rid of toung weight, I am as far back as I can be, I though about backing the truck on so the heavy front end is right over the trailer axles. Would that be my solution, but at the same time then I would g a lot of sway, being with more weight in the rear then the front. It isnt a car trailer so the axles are a ways back from the tounge making it hard to get the weight right.
You get too light a tongue weight, and that tow will put you in a ditch. Tongue weight should be 8-15% of towed weight. Too light or too heavy and the tow can start to swing back and forth. Too much swing and it will move the rear of the tow vehicle to either side.

What are the odd that my leafs are F up. I get crazy poping creaking from them ALL the time that wd doesnt get rid of. Ive taken it to ford and they cant figure out what causes all the poping and creaking from my leafs, and on top of all that my leaft dont have a steady arch mine make a very slight W over the axle. they come down in the regular arch then at the axle curve up a bit and then back down into the reguar arch. It looks like the leafs are sorta bent around the axle. Think of a w and in the middle hump is where my alxe is at. Ive though from day one ive had messed up leafs with all the creaking but never though more of it. I also ended up having a bent LCA from when I bought the truck hence all the shock issues I think. New arm and new coilover with no issues, they lost the coilover i was having issues with so there is no way to tell what fixed my problem only that it is fixed now.

It sounds like you have an issue with the rear spring. Maybe post some pics. Loading as in vertical tongue weight or bed weight shouldn't be compromised with a lift unless your lift is uneven and the rear sits "dogged" even while unloaded. If anything larger tires and good wheels likely have more capacity so then it's the springs and axle which haven't changed. Obviously the brakes and pulling power may be compromised unless other changes are made but this isn't a power or braking issue.

Ya I'm thinking you have way too much tounge weight. I would get the motor over the axle and see where that gets you. Then you can just load stuff around it as needed. I would also tow it around a little bit before you take off to make sure you have enough tounge weight.
As far as your springs looking messed up. Mine look exactly the same way. Not sure if they are messed up or not, but my truck also sits lower on the passenger side so I don't know. Took care of the problem with airbags and now I have a 350 for the heavy hauling.

If it turns out that your springs are fine, your next option may be to look into getting some air bags. A few users have done this. It's more common on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. The air bags can be deflated when not towing to maintain the stock ride, but when towing they can be air up to prevent the rear of the truck from squatting.
