Actually the tranny did just fine (6spd Truck), however the transfer case and front slip yoke did not fair so well.

- ate through u-joints
- Destroyed Track bar
- Broken Tie Rod Ends (both sides)
- Steering Gear output shaft bearing went twice
- Rear Pinion Bearing failure
- Two sets of front hubs

The front end of the Dodges are just not built well enough to handle the weight of the Cummins, and I replaced everything with fabricated hi end peices after they failed. My truck experianced it's fair share of the "death wobble" until I bought a Thuren Fab track bar.

Not to mention, the interior in the Dodge is garbage compared to the Fords. The seats caved, the door panels rattled, and the stupid numbers on the shifter never stayed put.

Uh, without losing my 1089s I should mention. I am particularly fond of this rim style...

I may just grab a set stab them on and drag the truck to the body shop to have the fender wells opened up for them.

I might try to see if I can get lucky enough to get 4wp to mount some 35x12.50s up front to test before I actually buy them... I know my rims are right at the limit for 35s, but which side?

Actually the female in the equation has a LOT to do with why I don't really want to lift too high. My fiancee is just a shave over 5 feet tall, and I don't really want to hear the fussing from her when she's pregnant about getting in and out of the truck. It'll be bad enough with a leveling kit and 35s...

I tell ya, if I had the $$, I would buy her a Navigator and drop it two inches or so in a hot second...That way she's got a nice, safe, roomy car with a low step in height.

You sold it Capt? I have key marks down both sides of my truck, dents and much more everywhere else. Those keymarks require the entire truck to be painted...one side is an actual keying, the other is from branches. How were you able to sell the truck with it's current paint condition and for what cost?

And that was interesting reading what failed on the dodge, any complaints towards the powerplant? Pushing 600/1200 is no easy task with most diesels.

I couldn't get by without a truck. I was thinkin' bout getting a new F450 dually and starting a trailering/hauling business but I really don't need that big of a payment right now.
