tommrow im going to put on my handles
and i cant find any thread on how to change out the tailgate handle does anyone know how??

What kinda handles are you putting on LT's???

 

you should be able to get at it from the inside after you take the back panel off

 

1. remove access panel on inside of tailgate held on by 8 torx head screws (under bedliner cover if you have one)

2. remove 2 10mm nuts

3. remove handle

4. remove c-clip and pull out lock cylinder

5. install old lock cylinder into new handle, retain with c-clip

6. reinstall handle, replace access panel

7. drink a beer, your done.

 

While you're in there put in a power tailgate lock! Cheap to do, just a little time threading wire back thru frame.
