Is there any downtime between jobs?
I placed my order for an '08 Mustang GT on October 19, and was told by my dealer today that it hasn't even been manufactured yet (?) This seems like an unusually long time for a vehicle to be in line for production and I am wondering if downtime between "jobs" on the Mustang model might be part of the reason.....???
I was also thinking that maybe Ford is "bulk producing" all of the Bullitt models and that perhaps this has put all of the regular model production on hold until the run is complete (?).

Changes...
are seamless. At the end of one shift any new parts are brought right in and ready for the next shift. Usually vendor changes but sometimes they might add something to a package. My bro in law bought an Explorer right after 9-11. I bought the same exact Explorer the following April. They added the driving lights to hte XLT package. Mine came standard, he did not have them. Usually nothing major until the next model year.
