Looking for a spot to mount more lights

It is my wife's truck, 04 F150 Lariat 4X4 Screw, so it has to be stealthy. No light bars or grill guards allowed. I have the 05 Mustang GT, so I can't complain. Anyway, in the front of the truck there are 2 honeycomb parts that are removable, a perfect spot for some extra lights.

We are going on a long road trip and our last vehicle, a 2004 Sport Trac, had a grill guard with 2 extra lights wired to the high beams. The extra light was great to have when there were tons of deer on the interstate in Montana.

Looks like I need lights to be about 3" in diameter to fit that part of the grill. I also thought about a couple of 6" ones behind the factory grill, but I am concerned the heat could warp the honeycomb.

Like I said, the install has to be stealthy yet very functional, ideas, pictures........?

i have two kchilite slimlites 130w behind my grille...the stone guards that come with them are made of plastic just like the grille...i dont think it should be a problem however the honeycomb grille will block alot more light then my hd grille does....

Instead of adding lights, you could change the bulbs in your fog lights to the silverstar 9005 bulbs. They make a huge difference.

Get HIDs in the headlights and fog lights, aim them properly. Put two fog lights behind the grille as well. I'm sure it'll be plenty of lights.

I am probably going to go and get the Silver Stars tonight. I have had them before and they are great. Actually, I still have them from the Sport Trac, but they are the wrong type for the F150. I forgot cost is an issue, don't want to spend a ton.

I bought the Silverstars for my trucks and didn't feel the light increase was that worth it. A set of decent single beam Xenon HIDs are $120 shipped compared to the $50 you'll spend on Silverstars.

Problem is I am in Canada, and shipping to here with taxes is much more. I might just wait until I get the States for Chrismas and then buy a bunch of stuff.

You should just do the "fogs on with brights" mod...that should give you plenty of light.

look at the Hunter Bull Bars on eBay. I paid $169 shipped for mine and IMO it's of comparable quality.
