Very weird on my 04

raining.. hmm I wonder if the 3rd brake light leak might have got on your factory alarm module that's mounted on the rear wall. Sounds weird that the horn relay would go bad with out it being in use at the time. Now if you was honking the horn and it stuck I could understand that.
I would start with a very thorough inspection of the engine compartment to look for chewed or worn wires. Then get a test light or volt meter and test the horn relay to see if thats a culprit. If the third brake light was leaking your back seat should be soaked. Other than that I have no suggestions. Hope it helps.

look behind the grill, you'll see the horns. I'd pull the fuse for the horn relay too. Check your owners manual for the fuse number.
The 3rd brake light leak didn't get my seats wet. I noticed it running down the inside of my back glass. So don't count that out yet.

I'm headed to work myself but I'll check the forums there and give any help I can using my alldatadiy.com account.
From looking at my alldata account the horn relay is relay #305 / C2077 and it's one of the smaller relays located to the right in between the bigger relays. The fuse is 20A #f2.26 located on the right side the horn relay both in the fuse box.
The relay works like any standard relay with pins 85, 86, 87, 87a, 30.
on the relay itself check the ohms between pins 85 & 86 you should read 50-100 ohms
Then check ohm between pins 30 and 87a and you should see close to 0 ohms which means closed.
Check between pins 30 and 87 and you should see infinite ohms or nothing which means open.
if that all checks out the relay is good. Next you need to check the wires from the horn switch.
Which is pin 85 inside the horn relay socket, check ohms between that and chassis ground. if you get low ohms the horn switch/wire is faulty.
My alldata account does not go into very good wiring details for the alarm module.
