My dads 2007 ford f150 tranmission light came on today. What could be the problem with it? the truck is running great. he has only had it for about 5 months

 

"transmission malfunction"

i hate that one. First time it was because my 3rd gear and OD bands were fried, needed a rebuilt tranny, 2500 bucks. not fun.

second time was because first gear wouldnt work in Drive with the edge tuner, so i took the edge off. Its been flawless since.

Id get it check out ASAP, never know with these trannys.

 

He has a predator tuner. The light didnt come on until like a day after takeing the tuner off.
