Ford finds source of inspiration
Ford finds source of inspiration
I'm at the dealer yesterday getting the oil changed on the F-150 so I kill some time walking around the showroom. I'm admiring the 2008 Harley edition (which has fabulous looking seats, BTW) when as I'm walking around the back I spot a familiar feature. Familiar to me, at least, and to you if you've spent any time on my truck's web site.
From the website in March 2005:

As seen in the showroom in Fall, 2007:

Yeah, Ford, I can't imagine where you got the reverse cam mounting idea.
Ya could have sent a thank you note or something.
PS, when the salesman showed up I was laying on the floor looking up to see how they had cabled their version.

I thought about that too when I first saw it. I can almost bet my life that they got it off your website Myst. I am kind of mad for you honestly. I suppose they can't really pinpoint who the first one was to design it (I'm not doubting you) so that they could pay their "respects."
My marketing teacher told me he owned a Mercedes forum not too long ago and Mercedes actually went on there and had a few registered accounts. I don't have the slightest doubt that Ford has people trolling the forums. It must be like a gold mine for the people that are supposed to come up with "new" ideas.

No need to be mad, I made the mods free for everyone to use. That includes Ford. 2008 owners are just saved the hassle of doing it themselves.
We should take it as a good sign that manufactures are listening to their consumers.
