Suspension/Body Spacers?

Got a question about spacers...

I have a 6" Fabtech Lift on my 06' truck... Could someone please explain the want/need for the spacers? How there installed? and which brand to get if i were to consider getting a set for this truck? This is my first truck so i am learning!

Thanks...

A body lift is essentially spacers between the frame and the body at the bolt points. This allows for more tire clearance. It is pretty simple, however it can create a gap between the bumper and the body since the bumpers are bolted to the frame. Slight modification to the brackets should return this to a stock appearance.

A suspension spacer is on you put on top of your front springs to give you more suspension lift. 2.-2.5 is common.

I'm talking about Body Spacers... I've seen a lot of those on people's truck, and in there profiles but just kinda unclear on what they are.. I just assumed that it was a set of bushings or spacer that would be installed to raise the body off the frame... Not sure the whole process.. But that was my basic gist!
