the 08's have an auto-dimming driver's side mirror as well so that's why it might be more expensive.

So that auto dimming function is new on the 08? That surprises me, I thought all manufactures were doing that now. My wife has an 02 yukon that came with it.

or it might have came out mid-year 07. I never heard of auto dimming side mirrors before...

My 07 doesn't have auto dimming

Ofcourse I ordered mine before the luxury package came out...

05 mirrors don't have:

power fold
heat (most anyways)
auto dimming

the dealer is probably quoting you the most "optioned" mirror they sell

My 07 has auto dimming on the drivers mirror, built in dec 06 dearborn ***'y. And the auto dim mirror is not part of the FX4 lux pack, I don't have it, but I do have the auto dim.
