Did you get the help you needed or did you re-post it somewhere else?

I'm not claiming to know anything about lifts.. But if it was my truck personally I would go with the AAL's. Plus with the block you are looking at an extremely rougher ride.

how would a block give you a rougher ride? all it does is lift up your leaf pack which lifts up the truck. AALs give you a stiffer ride. i have them. I havent really heard anything wrong with a bigger block only that you may have axle wrap. but stacking blocks makes it worse. a complete 5" block shouldnt be bad. whats one more inch?

Blocks would be easier to install. AAL are a witch IMO to install.

alright i ordered the procomp aal from 4wheel parts. is it hard to install? i do have air tools, also i know this is probly gonna sound really stupid but does the rear need to be aligned after the install? i know that when i crank the front it will need a alignment but what about the back?

I don't see a need for a alignment after adding a AAL in the rear. The C clamps are a *itch to get off, just bend them over and grind them off.

Yes, they have a rivet holding them on. I bent mine over installed the AAL and tried to bend them back but they never looked right to me. So I just cut the rivet off and trashed them. I was told that you really didn't need them. Plus after you add the extra leaf they are not going to warp around the spring like they did before. If you do it you'll see what I mean.

I don't have any pics, my biggest problem was getting the truck high enough to drop the rear-end to the ground (even with the wheels off). If you can use a lift then do that for sure. It's not hard just a PITA, IMO.
