For those who have Painted Mirrors

Did any of yall disassemble the mirrors before you painted to make sure they were painted all over? Is there an exploded view that will help me with taking them apart?

I tried to take them apart as much I could but i didnt have success. I think you will start to break the clips that hold everything together. Just keep them together and make sure whoever paints them moves the mirror to make sure they get as much as they could.

You can get it apart easily. There are 3 or 4 clips on the back of the mirror lense you need to release, you can do this by tilting the mirror as much as possible to get a screwdriver back there and unclip. Don't be afraid to use a little force. You will know when you got it unclipped. Once that is off you will need metric sockets or torx bits, I forget what it was. I hate using them both so they're always mixed up in my head. It's not difficult at all, take your time.

I actually need to to this again because one of my led's for my turns signals burnt out and it looks a little funny. Thank God I wired them parallel or they'd all go out.

Once you take the door panel off, there are 4 nuts to take off and one connection. Then the mirror is held on by plastic tabs. Take a screwdriver and release the tabs. Just push the glass so you can see beack inside. If they are heated there are two wires to the mirror. There there are 4 bolts that hold the back cover on and 3 that hold the mirror in if it's power mirrors. The LED strip just locks into place.
