I guess if you HAD to do a wing this would be the best way to go, better than a ricer wing or spoiler on top of the tonneau. I don't realy like it tho, that's why I went with a regular x2000 myself, paid about 500 for it. altho your mods look a little odd for winter, I would think remote start, snow tires, chains, and that water bag bed weight thing would be more important

LoL, I figured I would meet heavy resistance on this board with the tonneau. I have to say I also hate 99% of the winged tonneau covers on trucks too... there is just something about this one that I really love though.

I've read that there isn't much difference in the Xcal2 and 3. At least with user interface.
